Montana Island Lodge, Seeley Lake MT

     The Montana Island Lodge is the epitome of rustic opulence.  Consisting of 18,800 square feet of superbly constructed log architecture, the lodge dominates your attention as you step onto the dock.  A few brief steps lead you from the dock to the front doors; adorned with vibrant carvings, the doors themselves are a modest prelude of what to expect.  Once inside, the first thing you’ll notice is the generous amount of open space available.  Known to entertain not only specialized, professional corporate retreats, but also more intimate settings such as weddings and family gatherings, it’s easy to see how groups of 100 or more can be comfortably accommodated.  The commercial-grade kitchen is well equipped with ample space and the 11 guest suites have a cozy feel that make you not want to leave.  Further still, discerningly placed throughout the lodge, five natural stone fireplaces diligently stand waiting and ready for winter’s chill.

     Stepping back outside, the veranda stretches across the lakeshore providing an area for outside gatherings.  From here you see the vivid, blue waters of Salmon Lake framed by lush, green trees and mountains.  Pungent bouquets cascade from the two acres of mountain meadow brimming with fields of wildflowers.  Amongst the foliage is one of the islands more unique features, a private and heated helipad making a commute by air an effortless prospect.

     The conveniently located homestead cabin on the mainland includes 4 enclosed bays for long-term boat storage and a large dock making traveling back and forth from the island a breeze.  When you need to return to civilization for a brief respite, the city of Missoula lies only a short 40 miles away!
